8. i feel like my life was just fine without having to stay in contact with every single person from high school.
7. i did myspace in high school and facebook is just a classier myspace. everyone just wants to have as many friends as possible.
6. i feel like people think i only know when their birthdays are because of facebook. i don't like that. yeah, i put your birthday in my phone's calendar, but i don't want you to think i'm only wishing you a happy birthday because everyone else on facebook does.
5. i think it's kind of weird that my husband isn't on facebook...i feel like i'm being sneaky or something, but i'm really not.
4. facebook is so impersonal. so are blogs to an extent, but i would rather talk to someone in person than have an ongoing conversation on that person's wall.
3. facebook is good for people who like to creep. i don't like people who creep.

1. i've been on facebook for a couple months, and i think a quarter of those couple months have been wasted on facebook...time i'll never get back. thanks a lot, facebook. i can wholeheartedly say, "you were a WASTE of my time!"

I agree with you its is so impersonal. I would rather talk to people in person than on facebook or anything else. I also hate texting thats all anyone does now.
Its hard to have a conversation these days unless its on facebook or through texting.
mattie, you are a stronger person than i am...i came very close to deleting mine a week or two after i got it (i even deleted most of my friends), but alas, scott bingham (aka jesus) convinced me to keep it...now that he's gone i have too many friends...but once i get married i'll delete it-or when scott gets home
