an update on jonah

wowsers...jonah is almost sixteen months old!  i really can't believe that i basically have a toddler.  this is cliche, but it just seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital.

i'm assuming everyone assumes that he is walking by now, which is correct.  he started taking steps around the first of october, but didn't really walk until thanksgiving weekend.  he is getting better and better, but he kind of looks like a drunkard when he walks.

he has added a few words to his vocabulary:  socks, shoes (sounds more like shiz...haha), whoa, wow, button, bye-bye, wa-wa (water), na-na (banana), and apparently "with you" which sounds like wishoo.  he says it anytime he wants us to take him somewhere and it took a while before we figured out what he was saying.

he loves to dance and has some pretty smooth moves.  his favorite dancing song is "empire state of mind" by jay-z feat. alicia keys.  he gives really good, non-slobbery kisses.  he eats pretty much everything if he's in the mood.  he has eight teeth.  he loves playing with babies his size.  he loves Christmas decorations and says "WOW, WOW, WOW!" every morning when we go upstairs for breakfast.  he is at the peak of his stranger anxiety...it's bad when he screams and cries and has to be restrained because he thinks his doctor is a stranger.  he also loves when we build towers and he can knock them down.  he is starting to love reading books.  he also loves to drive cars and even makes car sounds.  i'm not really sure where he picked that up.

basically, jonah is hilarious and has the biggest personality.  and we really, really love him.
