the great storm of 2011

we had a lovely little wind storm a few weeks ago.  i'm sure everyone saw pics of the damage.  our power was out for a day and a half, so we left the house for some warmth.  our fence fell down and one of our big trees in the back yard started tipping.  it was pushing the deck railing into the house, so we had to cut it down.  i don't know why, but it made me really sad to see it gone.  it provided some nice shade in the summer, so it will definitely be missed!  oh, and when we got home, one of our furnaces quit working.  it was an amazing weekend!
