it finally happened. jonah got his first set of stitches at the first of november. he trips and falls numerous times a day, so i'm really surprised it didn't happen earlier than that. he was running, tripped over his own feet, and smacked his head right on the corner of the wall. the skin just popped right open and within seconds, blood was gushing down his face. i think he was more concerned about all the blood than the actual wound itself. there was blood everywhere. i got it all wiped off his face and the wound cleaned out a little and i knew it needed stitches right away, so i just took him to his doctor. i probably should have taken him to primary children's because he's going to have a nice, big scar. oh well. he and daddy will have matching battle wounds now!
despite his somewhat happy demeanor in the pictures, getting the shot of anesthesia and the stitches in was nothing short of a nightmare. i felt so bad for him. they had to restrain him in a papoose to get him to hold still for the stitches and that just made the problem ten times worse. he was screaming like i've never heard him scream before. he didn't calm down until the last stitch went in and only calmed down because the nurse was telling him stories about her silly puppies. he got a new movie for all the trauma he went through. we're suckers when he gets hurt, which seems to be pretty regularly. is it just a boy thing, or what?!

oh, the pappose is such as sad thing! This post makes me scared for when Kyson grows up. Hope you guys are doing good. I heard that you got left behind on the cruise...bummer! You can use this as leverage though, to get a really awesome trip sometime!
